Karpunina Development of a Knowledge Base on the Topics of Theoretical Electrical Engineering Using Software Tools for Analysis and Generation of Collections of WIKI Articles Q: Does your method of development of a knowledge base uses only information located in wiki resources? What about other sources such as books, papers, etc.? A: The approach presented in this paper is based on the use of hyperlinks and the search for keywords in hypertext. Moreover, this particular implementation uses Wikitext (specific wiki hypertext markup). So yes, only wiki resources for now. However, this approach can be extended for use with any hypertext resources. Q: How much can we trust wiki resources? A: This is highly depends on the specific wiki resource. Wiki is not only Wikipedia with its reputation problems, wiki is a technology and way to organize information. Our paper discusses the use of the private wiki resource to support the educational process of the Department of Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering, and in this case, a limited number of people have the ability to edit articles.  Q: How much time does your tool need to prepare a material for one concept on average? A: Specialized topics, such as presented in the paper, take an average of 2-3 minutes, more general topics, such as "Russia", require 10 minutes or more.
